The Sarawak State Government recognizes Pesta Benak (Tidal Bore Carnival) in Sri Aman as one of its yearly activities in the Sarawak Tourism Calendar. The carnival has been held annually at the river front of Batang Lupar River in Sri Aman.

The Objectives of Pesta Benak Sri Aman are to introduce Sarawak’s Batang Lupar Tidal Bore as a unique tourism product in Malaysia with a view to boost Sri Aman’s position as a famous Tidal Bore Town and promote harmony among the local community.
